Can i house my chicken with a wild dove i rescued?
Amber asked:
So, to cut a story short i found a dove and i don’t think it will ever fly again, so i put it in a run during the day and it walks up into it’s bed for the night on it’s own.
My chicken, (has been in with other chickens before) might need a friend?
She goes in at night, next to the dove, (although they can see eachother, they cannot touch.
My chicken goes out in the garden during the day.

Any chance i can house them together at night? And maybe during the day too?
Any help, let me know. (;

Watch them interact during the day, maybe separated by a fence. When they get along by day there is no reason why they shouldn’t get along at night.
Both animals usually live in flocks so I guess they’ll even prefer having a companion over being alone.
