How to Build a Chicken Coop?

    the cooperative extension also called 4-h has blue prints and instructions..look it up

    They have quite a few plans. Also, if you search for “chicken coop” with a search engine, many different pages will be listed that have good pland for different coops.

    Right now, I’m using temporary straw bale coops with truck caps for roofs, until the snow melts and I can build.

    Hi,

    You need the following things:

    1. figure out how big your coop needs to be
    2. Get some carpentry tools
    3. Get a selection of chicken coop plans
    4. Buy the necessary material like wood and chicken wire
    5. Clear an area on your land

    Most of all, build the coop with a view of the future as your flock will likely grow.
