    OK… The coop needs to be big enuff for the hens. About 2-4 square feet per chicken. The coop needs to have hanging feeder/waters(prefer,less mess and saves feed)for easy access, a nesting box at least 1 nest box for every 2 chickens, so you will need 2. Straw in it too.., a roost to roost on(they have instict to get high off ground) my coop is
    24ft(L)*12ft(W)*6ft(H) it hold 3 chickens and 2 ducks. Soon will hold 1 more duck and 1 more chicken, new hatches.
    Dont leave them in there thought for a long time, let them roam like mine they come back to pen befor too dark out. Make sure u have a barrier so coons,cyotes,fox, and othere preditors cant grab them and a roof from flyin owls and hawks.
