I just recently moved to Pennsylvania, and decided to raise chickens.. and I wasn’t completey sure why many chicken books have illustrated photos and not photographs….

Superb pictures and information on poultry breeds
Excellent breed descriptions with mutiple pictures of most to show color variations. Tells you who’s on the endangered list and how many eggs to expect over a year.

Beautiful Book
This is such a great book, I was surprised at how beautiful and bright the pictures were! There are many many breeds in here as well as quite a few ducks/gees & turkeys.

Overall just an okay book; more informative books are available about poultry breeds & avian species; nice photographs, however, this book would have been much better & more handy…

I found the book helpful in identifying feather and colours in chickens. I did learn some background information on breeds I had not known.

A book that I spent quite a bit of time looking at with my kids. The visuals are gorgeous and it’s a great reference book for your shelf.
